What is a Slot? A slot is a narrow depression, perforation, or aperture in a solid object. Its purpose is to receive something sliding in it. Many urban teenagers can be classified as SLOTs. But why is Slot so often used as a verb? Let’s look at some examples. Listed below are five characteristics of SLOTs. You may recognize yourself in one or more of these descriptions. You may have even seen a Slot in your own life!
First, what is a Slot? A slot is an area on the ice or field hockey rink that represents the best chance of scoring without deflection. This area is usually low enough to allow wrist shots without deflection. Defensive players will often lay big hits on small wingers who are playing in the slot. This is a great area for scoring a goal. But how does a Slot differ from a goaltender’s slot?
If your app has multiple deployment slots, you can swap them to ensure a seamless deployment process. The Swap dialog box displays the settings for the two slots. On the source slot, you have the previously-staged app; in the target slot, the previously-production version. The source slot’s changes tab lists the expected changes between the two slots. To swap the two slots, select Swap and then choose a preview mode to see the resulting change in the output.
